The fog comes
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

Portland was socked in by fog this morning. It’s a dreary dampness that’s been hanging around for a few days and looks to be settling in to stay at least one more.¬†Out looking for pictures this morning, looking through my lens at the muted colors, I remembered that poem.
